About Kandon
Hi, I’m Kandon (she/her)—a Montana-based registered dietitian and the founder of Wild & Rooted Nutrition Co.
I help people build more peaceful, trusting relationships with food, movement and their bodies—whether they're navigating chronic conditions like diabetes, PCOS, or Hashimoto’s to gastrointestinal health, eating disorders, or healing from disordered eating and the stress of diet culture.
My approach is rooted in compassion, grounded in nature, and always centered on you. I offer personalized nutrition care that respects your lived experience and honors the full complexity of your story.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me spending time with my family, getting outside, or baking something cozy. I believe nourishment should feel grounding, joyful, and connected—and that shows up in how I live, cook, and support my clients.
My Aproach
You won’t find rigid meal plans or food rules here. Instead, we’ll focus on:
Honoring your lived experience
Supporting your unique health needs
Cultivating trust in your body’s cues
Creating sustainable habits—not quick fixes
I take a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach that blends medical nutrition therapy with intuitive eating, body respect, and a whole-person perspective.

Professional Background
I bring both clinical training and compassionate, real-life experience to the work I do.
My education includes:
Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science/Kinesiology — University of Montana
Bachelor of Science in Food & Nutrition — Montana State University
Master’s Degree in Dietetics — Montana State University
Dietetic Internship — Montana State University
In addition to my academic background, I’ve worked extensively with individuals experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating, as well as those managing chronic conditions and health concerns.
This blend of movement science and nutrition therapy is grounded in a deep respect for the whole person—including their unique path, values, and the experiences that brought them here. I aim to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and empowering—one that honors your pace, autonomy, and story.
